VaporWrap MVB
$195.00
VaporWrap MVB by Wrap Resin is a high-performance epoxy moisture vapor barrier engineered to control excessive vapor transmission from concrete substrates. Designed to block up to 25 PSI of vapor pressure, protecting flooring systems from moisture-related failures, and serves as a dependable basecoat before topcoats or decorative systems.
VaporWrap Moisture Vapor Barrier (MVB) is a 100% solids, two-component epoxy resin system formulated to suppress excessive moisture vapor emissions through concrete slabs that can compromise the performance and adhesion of subsequent coatings or flooring systems. When properly prepared and applied, VaporWrap is capable of withstanding up to 25 PSI of vapor transmission, making it suitable for environments where standard primers or coatings would fail due to elevated moisture levels.
VaporWrap is typically applied at ~100 sq ft/gallon per coat, establishing a continuous, impermeable membrane that significantly reduces vapor permeance. Its formulation allows for straightforward application using standard contractor tools (rollers, notched squeegees), with a balanced pot life and working time tailored for efficient workflow. The product offers a 35–40 minute pot life, becomes walkable in approximately 16 hours, and supports a recoat window allowing up to 24 hours before topcoat application.
Contractors will find VaporWrap effective as a basecoat under various epoxy, polyaspartic, or resilient flooring finishes, especially in concrete slabs exhibiting moisture vapor transmission that exceeds typical limits for coatings. Proper substrate profiling and moisture testing remain essential for optimal performance.
