The TK-290 Series is a commercial-grade, multi-substrate penetrating water repellent made by TK Products. It’s designed to protect concrete, brick, pavers, and other porous surfaces from damage caused by salts, deicing agents, freeze-thaw cycles, efflorescence, scaling, and surface popping.

• The standard version is solvent-based and penetrates deeply (up to ¼″ / ~6.35 mm) to form a chemical bond with the substrate.

• There is also a low-VOC version (TK-290 VOC) for more environmentally regulated areas.

• And, a water-based option: TK-290 WB, a silane/siloxane water repellent with excellent penetration (up to ~1/8″) and low VOC.

It can be used on a wide variety: concrete slabs, parking structures, pavers, brick, slate, limestone, and even marine piers. It’s especially useful in environments exposed to de-icing salts, freeze-thaw stress, or chloride intrusion.

No, the TK-290 Series is non-film-forming, so it does not create a visible coating — the finish remains natural, and the sealer works by penetrating and chemically bonding to the substrate.
