100X Polyurea

100X Polyurea is a high-solids, fast-curing basecoat designed for quick-turn projects such as solid color, chip-flake, and quartz floors. Its two-part formula delivers strong adhesion, smooth flow, and reliable performance in both warm, humid, and cold conditions. With extended working time, excellent coverage, and zero settling in the container, 100X ensures consistent results and rapid project turnaround.

100X SURFACE PREPARATION

Concrete must be shot-blasted or diamond ground (30–80 grit) to achieve a CSP 2–3 profile. It should be fully cured (at least 30 days at 75°F), structurally sound, and free of contaminants like wax, paint, oil, dust, curing compounds, or laitance.
To check for contamination, spray water on the surface—if it beads, clean with degreaser or mild detergent, rinse thoroughly, and allow to dry completely before coating.

Environmental Testing

Concrete must be fully cured (30 days at 75°F), clean, and structurally sound. Interior slabs without an effective vapor barrier may emit moisture, risking coating failure. Applicators must test for vapor emissions using ASTM F1869, D4263, or F2170.
Moisture levels must be:

<3 lbs/1,000 sq ft/24 hrs (calcium chloride)
<75% RH (in-situ probe)

Higher levels require a moisture vapor barrier.

Air Temperature and Humidity / RH

High temperatures and high humidity will shorten the dry time and working time. Low temperatures and low humidity will lengthen the dry time and working time.

Floor Temperature and Dew Point

Do not apply 100X Polyurea if the floor temperature is less than 5°F above the dew point. Use a psychrometer and infrared thermometer to monitor air temp, RH, and substrate temp. Use fans or dehumidifiers as needed to maintain proper conditions throughout installation. Only trained personnel should prepare substrates. 100X is not responsible for failures due to improper, moisture issues, or unsuitable environmental conditions.

COVERAGE RATES

Recommended Coverage & Thickness – Apply at 5–7 mils wet (230–320 sq ft per gallon). Do not exceed 8 mils wet (less than 200 sq ft per gallon). Final coverage may vary based on surface texture, porosity, and application method. Rough or porous concrete may require additional material.
