Labfast 85 Platinum is a low-odor, 85% solids, non-yellowing polyaspartic made for vinyl flake systems. The colored version is the base coat and the clear is the topcoat, both mixed 1A:1B with the same hardener. It cures fast enough to install a full system in one day, even in cold weather. Advanced Opacity Technology reduces chip repulsion and improves coverage.

Labfast 85 Platinum is a low-odor, high-solids, two-component polyaspartic for concrete floors, commonly used with vinyl flakes. The colored version is the base coat and the clear version is the protective topcoat. Both mix 1A:1B and share a common hardener, so there’s one hardener to stock and mix for the whole system.
Speed is the main reason contractors choose it. The work time to cure time ratio lets a crew install a full floor system in a single day and return the floor to service quickly. It cures reliably even at very low temperatures, and the low viscosity makes it easy to apply. Advanced Opacity Technology reduces the chip repulsion effect and keeps pigments on top of the substrate, so it covers better and looks more consistent. It’s UV stable, which suits it to exterior work, and it works in two or three-coat systems.
It comes in three working time variations: Ultra-Fast Set (-), Prolonged Working Time (+), and Extra Working Time (XT). The XT version gives up to 30 minutes of working time. The manufacturer recommends Labtec Vinyl Chips with it.
